Odeon Cinemas to feature London 2012 animation created by Crystal

LOCOG has released a trailer for the latest animation from the Crystal team featuring London 2012 Olympic mascots, Wenlock and Mandeville.  The 59 second trailer is a teaser for the 4.5 minute animated short, ‘Rainbow Rescue’, which will premier across the UK on 25th November in Odeon Cinemas. 

Wenlock and Mandeville call on animated versions of their Olympic and Paralympic athlete friends gymnast Louis Smith, weightlifter Zoe Smith, cyclist Victoria Pendleton, wheelchair racer Shelly Woods and rower Tom Aggar to help their local communities in the latest chapter of their Olympic story.

Written by author Michael Morpurgo and narrated by Stephen Fry, the film took 3-4 months for the Crystal team to create.  The series of animated adventures of Wenlock and Mandeville have inspired McFly frontman Tom Fletcher to compose the official song for the mascots.
