London 2012 - Torch Relay

The animation is just over three minutes and follows the flame from the Olympic 2012 Torch around the UK, following the route the Torchbearers will take.  Viewers will recognise local landmarks such as the Lands End, the Eden Project, Cardiff Opera House, Iron Bridge Gorge and the Angel of the North as the flame makes its journey, ending in the Olympic Stadium.

Crystal CG International’s London-based team is responsible for the creative concept, direction and animation of the piece, designed to illustrate the 70-day journey of the Olympic torch and generate excitement around it as the official ‘drum roll’ kicking off the Olympic Games.
